Safe Harbor Shelter Wish List

We are in need of basic items to keep the shelter well-stocked, as well as to assist families as they transition into new homes. As a nonprofit organization, we are always appreciative of donations from the community, monetary or otherwise. Below is a current list of items that are needed at Safe Harbor. Items in great need are double-starred.

Because of space constraints, we are only accepting NEW items. Blankets should all be twin sized. Please visit this page often, as we update this wish list on a regular basis.

** Diapers (size 4 to 7)
** Laundry detergent and dryer sheets

Thank you for your contribution to and support of Safe Harbor!

Evergreens and Christmas Things
along with
Safe Harbor Crisis Center
would like to tell you what your money can do for all of us in Davis County.

Your donations to Evergreens and Christmas Things go toward helping Safe Harbor Crisis Center. With economic times becoming more and more difficult for everyone, more and moe people are finding themselves in danger. For those people, having a safe haven is priceless. Unfortunately for us, housing 32 people and 10 families does require money.

Part of your donation goes to funding for food and household expenses. Lighting, air conditioning or heat, water, and so much more that many of us take for granted.

The rest of your donation goes to our building funds. There are always things at home that need fixing or upgrading -- and we are just like home at Safe Harbor. After 15 tough years with 10 new families each month, our carpet was really put through some abuse of its own. Finally, with your help, we gathered enough money and in-kind donations from Lowe's to upgrade our flooring. It looks so much better and is actually easier to clean. And on top of that, it'll save us a little money in cleanin costs.

In 2007 your donations helped us to improve our kitchen. The original kitchen built in 1997 certainly wasn't planned for the crowds and children that Safe Harbor has grown to house. With the additions of rooms and living areas and a nice playground, we found that our kitchen needed a little TLC of its own. Your generous donations made that possible. And we are still enjoying the spacious, classic look today!

Now you know, let's make a difference....
